Research description:
(i) Development of new electrocatalyst compositions and architectures for water electrolysis; (ii) Development of electrochemistry-based reactors/electrodes for the oxi-reductive treatment of wastewaters containing organic molecules; (iii) Development of electrode materials for supercapacitors; (iv) Investigation of applicability of ‘green’ molecules as corrosion inhibitors; (iv) Design of self-healing anti-corrosive coatings; (v) Electrochemistry of bio-organic molecules
Current funded research projects:
-NSERC-D: New electrode materials for hydrogen production by water electrolysis
-NRC -Collaborative R&D Initiative: Development of new composite/functionalized cathodes for bio-electrochemical conversion of CO2 to CH4
– ITI Research Grant: Electrochemical treatment of infected titanium, an approach for biofilm obliteration
