Research interests:

My research focuses on two ends of sustainable energy: 1) renewable and clean energy production and; 2) energy conservation in practice

Current Funded projected:

Copper-Chlorine Thermochemical cycle for Hydrogen production. Sponsors: NSERC; CNL; Mitacs; etc.

Research description:

Hydrogen and Oxygen are produced as a result of 4-step chemical reactions in a closed loop with heat reclaimed from industrial processes or renewable sources. The process is 80% thermally driven and consumes 25% Less electric energy demand compared to water electrolysis; operating temperatures are lower compared to other cycles with higher thermal efficiency.
